Max Factor Creme Puff Blush : Review and Swatches

This short but sweet post is dedicated to talking about my latest find at the drugstore; the gorgeous, new baked blushers released by Max Factor. The Max Factor Creme Puff Blush is a multi-toned blush that claims to blend effortlessly to create the perfect flush of colour.

The first thing that caught my eye with this product was the packaging. It is reminiscent of Milani Cosmetics blushers with a sleek black and gold circular casing that feels more expensive than it is. Encased inside is a mesmerising swirl of iridescent pink, mauve or peach tones and I am perhaps guilty of buying this product solely on the beautiful edition it would make to my makeup collection.

Moving on to the blush itself, it is a baked blush meaning it is a liquid that had been baked and can be applied wet or dry. As a baked blusher it is softer than a regular powder brush and this Max Factor one in particular has a velvety texture that feels like silk to the touch.

I picked up two of the six shades; 'Seductive Pink', a soft rose shade and 'Nude Mauve', a light brown shade with a mauve undertone. Both are highly pigmented and beautifully reflect the light. They can be worn either as a highlighter, by applying a gentle sweep across the cheekbone or the colour can be built up to create a more intense yet natural flush.

Overall I love this new blusher line by Max Factor. For only £8.99 I think they are a real bargain and I am excited to try more from the range. I think the brand are definitely hitting the mark this year and I can't wait to see what other new products 2015 will see be released.
